Development: Our Approach

Development and Literacy Partners International helps under-resourced language groups positively transform their communities, translating transformational written materials and ideas into their language and partnering with them to implement these ideas to develop the economic strength and health of their community.

We facilitate development by:

• Communicating good ideas
• Identifying world view transformations needed to improve the health of the community and equipping people to facilitate change
• Importing and promoting appropriate technology
• Promoting the use of local art and music to promote positive community values
• Providing oral, visual, and written materials that promote the health of the community
• Partnering to help positively transform communities
• Partnering in community development and medical work in ways that promote the economic strength and health of the community
• Equipping local people for partnership in development and literacy
